Sometimes, the best support comes from someone who truly gets it. Our mentor program connects you with LVAD patients or caregivers who’ve been where you are. Fill out the form to be matched with someone who can offer guidance, empathy, and real-world experience from the LVAD journey.

How mentoring works

Connect with someone who understands the LVAD journey firsthand. Our mentor program offers encouragement, perspective, and a listening ear when you need it.

  1. Tell us about yourself Fill out a short form and tell us a little about yourself, your LVAD journey, and what kind of support you're looking for.
  2. We'll find a match Our team reviews your information and looks for a mentor whose experience, background, and perspective may be a good fit for you.
  3. We'll make the connection We'll introduce you to your mentor and help you get started. From there, you can connect in a way that works for both of you.
  4. Move forward together Your mentor is there to listen, share experiences, and offer encouragement as you navigate your own journey.

What to expect

  • Connect with a patient or caregiver who has firsthand experience with the challenges of the LVAD journey.
  • Ask questions, share concerns, or simply talk with someone who understands what you're going through.
  • Hear about another person's experiences, lessons learned, and ways they navigated life with an LVAD.
  • Mentors share personal experiences and encouragement. Medical questions should always be discussed with your VAD team or healthcare provider.

Ready when you are

You don’t have to navigate the LVAD journey alone. Find someone who understands your experience, or become the person who helps someone else feel a little less alone.
