Community Outreach

See how we’re educating first responders, security teams, and clinics to create safer, more LVAD-aware communities.

At LVADStrong, we believe safety begins with understanding. Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients deserve to live confidently, knowing their community is equipped to support them, especially in moments of crisis. That is why our outreach extends beyond hospitals to first responders, event security teams, and clinic staff, helping them recognize LVADs, respond appropriately, and remove unnecessary barriers for patients.

Through hands-on, patient-led education sessions, we demystify LVAD technology, address common misconceptions, and share real-world insights. Whether it is explaining why an LVAD may trigger a security alarm or helping first responders understand how to identify and communicate with an LVAD patient, we provide practical awareness that reduces confusion, stress, and delays in care.

Every interaction is a step toward a safer, more inclusive environment for those living with LVADs. By bridging gaps between patients and the people sworn to protect them, we turn uncertainty into trust, and hesitation into informed, compassionate action.

Join us in building communities where LVAD patients can move freely, feel secure, and focus on what matters most, their health. Together, we are not just raising awareness, we are creating a lifeline of understanding.

Because when communities understand, patients can thrive.

LVADStrong does not provide medical training, clinical instruction, or medical advice. These sessions are designed to offer awareness through lived experience and allow participants to see and interact with an LVAD patient in a non-clinical setting.
