Community Outreach

See how we’re educating first responders, security teams, and clinics to create safer, more LVAD-aware communities.

At LVADStrong, we believe safety begins with understanding. Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD) patients deserve to live confidently, knowing their community is equipped to support them—especially in moments of crisis. That’s why our outreach extends beyond hospitals to first responders, event security teams, and clinic staff, ensuring they recognize LVADs, respond appropriately, and eliminate unnecessary barriers for patients.

Through hands-on education sessions, we demystify LVAD technology, address common misconceptions, and provide actionable guidance. Whether it’s explaining why an LVAD might trigger a security alarm or training first responders to identify device-specific needs, we empower community partners with knowledge that saves time, reduces stress, and even saves lives.

Our outreach includes:

Every interaction is a step toward a safer, more inclusive world for those living with LVADs. By bridging gaps between patients and the people sworn to protect them, we turn uncertainty into trust—and hesitation into swift, compassionate action.

Join us in building communities where LVAD patients move freely, feel secure, and focus on what matters most: their health. Together, we’re not just raising awareness—we’re creating a lifeline of understanding.

Because when communities know, patients can thrive.

We do NOT provide medical training. These events are only to allow educated staff to see and interact with an LVAD patient.
